The Stop Motion Workshop was a created for students interested is delving into the art of one of the most fun and crafty forms of animation - stop motion animation. It was founded by Ronique Ellis, whom after several years of working as a stop motion instructor in surrounding boroughs, decided to set up shop in her own backyard. She was inspired to bring her love of animation to children within her own community.

Imagine . Build . Create .

Over the course of 10 sessions, students learned the history of stop motion, its importance throughout history, as well has how to conceptualize, design, create, shoot and edit their own animated short films. Along with creating a fun and engaging classes, our curriculum stresses collaboration, planning, management and creative exploration through art. Art is essential, as it is an avenue for self-expression. Students are in control of what they want to create, while workshops facilitate the tools and guides them through the technical aspects of visual arts.

The workshop is located at 178-04 Sayres Ave, Addisleigh Park, NY, 11433 and now host six summer sessions. Registration is now open through June 18th, 2017, take a look at our schedule for Summer 2017 Workshops
